Two Mirrors in the Sky is an experimental, poetic, short film that highlights two people attempting to understand one another in this metaphorical limitless space, representing the mind. They come together to form something beautiful, bound by their darkness but lifted by their inner light, questioning who they are to one another.

A message by Dir. Joe-Francis Kiaga:

Two Mirrors In The Sky, at its heart, is a project that asks the question, “What do we choose to see in each other?” Initially inspired by the topic of colorism, the themes behind the poem extend to humanity as a whole and our insistence on not trying to understand one another at our cores. The two performers in the piece offer a look at two sides of a singular spectrum, only coming together to form something beautiful at the end of the piece and being forced to look within oneself.

A season of collaboration!

This project was the first Kiagraphy piece of media produced with external partners, and the quality of collaboration is evident throughout the price thanks to its fantastic score, and not least, excellent performances from the two leads. This project represents not only the culmination of a collaborative effort, but also a new baseline from which Kiagraphy and its two respective chairs can only go on to grow and improve from. We call this the gift that keeps on going. Even one year after its initial festival run it continues to perform extremely well meeting all corners of the world including Athens, Marseilles, Johannesburg Kampala and more!
